Solved my computer clock keeps changing

June 5, 2011 at 18:21:34
Specs: Windows Vista
The change is not a constant number of hours or even days.
It changes either forwards or backwards.
A consequence is that my anti-virus is often reported as being out of date.
The clock has to be corrected before the anti-virus can be updated.

Not sure if this will work for you, but worth a try.

Thanks for your reply. This problem has only been in existance for about 3 weeks and I have used the same process you describe to correct it each time. The computer is set to use internet time and the correct time zone.
Maybe there is a physical problem in a component, but which one ? - I am not an IT person. I forgot to write that tis computer has not had any previous problems in the 2.5yrs since purchase.
Your suggestion was appreciated in that it confirmed I was doing something right.

Greetings and my apologies for not replying earlier.
Your suggestion may well be successful but frankly, I do not know the procedure for getting into system bios. Any pointers please ? - I do not want to cause any problems in the sysytem.
Regards, philip
