According to this you will not loose your personal data/book marks etc if your perform a clean install as long as you do NOT select 'remove personal data'

Firefox Refresh is another possibility:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/k...
This keeps your bookmarks.

================================================

For the future:
You can always export your bookmarks and import them again if anything goes wrong.

There is also this which saves every settings:
http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/
However, you must use this to backup every time Firefox change version - easy to do.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
