Specs: Windows Vista
I have windows vista and frequently get a bubble message on my screen that says the D drive is full and I need to empty it. when I access the D drive, the properties say it is empty. Any ideas?

D: drive is probably a recovery drive, just don't store anything on it you may need it for recovery one day. It is a small partition just big enough to contain your computer operating system install files and programs it originally came with. So the warning of low disk space is probably ok.

Do not format it if it is the recovery partition!

confusing getting an answer to format and then an answer not to format.
The D recovery drive is red, full, on my computer page. When I click on it I get a message that says I will save 0mb if I empty the trash can. The trash can is empty and I get the same message and as it says, save no space. I cannot figure this out.

Listen to HopperRox, if the D drive is indeed your recovery partition, then do not format it. If you ever need to reload your OS, you will need the data on your D drive.
