Specs: Windows Vista
desktop margin on the bottom. I want to move it back to the left. I don't like all this space on the bottom of the page. How do I do it?

Do you mean the "taskbar" which contains the quick-start icons on the left and the system tray on the right?

To move it to left, right, bottom or top of screen, first left-click it (where there are no icons) and make sure "Lock the taskbar" is unticked - (left-click to untick if necessary).

Now place mouse icon anywhere on taskbar (where there are no icons), left-click-and-drag the entire bar to where you want it.

Lock the taskbar again when finished to avoid accidentally moving it or increasing it's width.

is the synaptics pointing device icon the same thing as the mouse icon? I can't find the mouse icon.
