You need to post which email client you're using, otherwise we can't help. Instructions are different for each different email client.

Windows Vista's default client is Windows Mail, but these days there are many different ones to choose from so we can't assume you're using Windows Mail.

Press the Alt key then go to the little F inside a box which appears top left.
Go to Options > Mail > Read tab > Fonts button.
Here you can select Font size from the drop down (Smallest to Largest).
