|I have an ATI Radeon HD 4350 hooked up to a Viewsonic N4251w HD TV via HDMI. Once Vista is booted, only a few screen resoultions seem to work (1920x1080, 1280x720, etc.) but the generic resoultions (800x600, 1024x768, etc.) don't seem to be supported by the monitor - the screen will turn magenta.|
The problem is that older programs that default to full screen and don't have a windowed mode, will only allow these "unsupported" magenta resolutions.
When the PC boots or once it's in safe mode, 800x600 is supported by the monitor properly, so these resoultions do seem to be supported by the monitor...
ATI Catalyst doesn't allow any of these modes nor a "force resolution" mode as is suggested on their website.
Windows Display Center does allow these modes, but the screen become magenta.
Is there a way of getting these to work once Vista is booted properly?
Has anyone else had this problem?
