laptop runs very slow when charger plugged in

Specs: Windows Vista, core 2duo p8400 2.26 ghz 4 gb
laptop runs slow when charger is plugged in , it runs fine when im just using the battery but whenever i plug the charger in the CPU fluctuates from 4 to 100 percent making gameplay impossible.

The charger is weak(can't provide enough power to the system) better replace it.

Laptop no video (or video problems), and battery, AC adapter, power jack T shooting.

If there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with those things and your "charging" led indicates things seem to working properly, then the most likely thing is there is some setting that has been set to throttle back the system when the AC adapter is plugged in.

I don't have a working laptop, but if you look in Control Panel - Classic View - Power Options you may find that you can change a setting there to get rid of your problem.

If no setting there helps, try looking in the mboard's bios Setup settings.
