internet randomly crashes

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.2 GHz / 1918 MB
hi i play games on my pc and my internet will randomly cut out and if i reset the lan card via network connections it works again. thanks for any help

did you try resetting your modem and your router if you have one?

well yes i can reset the router, but it still happens. sometimes i can drop 2-3 times in a an hour others i can go 4+ hours without dropping

I have and they say that its something on my end, sometimes the connection will just trip and come right back on. By the way thanks for taking time to help!!

if you are using a router, you may want to replace it and try with a new one. I had the same problem with a lynksys router I had, it just went bad and after I replaced it with a netgear, I haven't had any more problems or drop-outs....touch wood!

You can update the wireless/network adapter driver and also router firmware by getting latest driver/firmware from vendor website, after that try again.

ok thanks man it has been awhile since i have updated the router maybe that is the problem thanks for the help, or maybe i should make a new Ethernet cord.
