iexplore.exe running in background

Specs: Windows Vista, 2 GB
I have to constantly restart my computer because it will "hang" and not open Internet Explorer. When I check the Task Manager there is an iexplore.exe running in the background. I try to end the process but it won't close so I have to shut down my computer and reboot. Within an hour it all happens again.
I've done a Trend Micro scan and Glary's Utilities but no problems come up.
Someone please help!!!! ; )

Might be time to reload the OS from OEM disks.

Might be able to use event logs for more info or see sysinternals site for some advanced diags.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
