Microsoft Windows vista ultimate - 32-bi...

Specs: Windows Vista 32 bit
I have a client that has a HP laptop that vista
ultimate 32 bit installed. The problem is when
windows loads it shows the loading bars then
blacks out and nothing. I have waited for about
20min with nothing showing. Now I can load up
in safe mode just fine and I have tried to
uninstall the drivers and let vista use the
"Standard Video Driver" and it boots fine if I
use this driver. I have tried 5 different drivers
from nvidia with no luck. All the drivers install
still show the loading bars then blank screen
and then nothing. To me seems like a driver
issue as it will load fine in safe mode and also
with the "Standard Video Driver".
Please help as I am at a loss. The only thing
let I know to try is doing a extensive test on
the video to see if its hardware. I just would
think this would be the case with whats
mentioned above. Thanks!

Use a lower resolution. You may be using a resolution your Monitor does not support.

Would I just load windows in VGA mode then change the
resolution without hooking up another monitor?

You would come up in safe mode and then change the settings
