Solved how to reset a gateway ne56r31u labtop?

Specs: gateway
I've tried f8, alt f10, even tried to factory reset it manually. and that didn't work. and it freezes every 5 mins. and I have the blue screen of death. and suggestions?

What is the error message on the blue screen? That is the clue to your problem. A factory reset is not the 1st thing you should try, it should be the last resort.

It looks like you get there using the F8 boot menu:

If you're sure you're doing it right there may be a problem with the hard drive.

You could try System Restore back to a date time before the problem came along - that will keep your own stuff too. See here:
