It depends more on what email client you use, not the OS. How do you access your emails?

That doesn't answer my question. I asked you what email client you use. Comcast is an ISP. Examples of email clients: Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, a web page, etc.....

Outlook uses a .pst file. Eudora may still use an .mbk file. Both of those would contain the deleted emails. If you access your emails through a web page, you probably can't recover them at all.
