.bin files are generally associated with CD/DVD images, so you'd probably need some sort of optical-media burning software to use/extract it.

What is it and where did you get it from? What is it supposed to be? How old is it? Is it a Mac or Windows file or Unix or linux?

Normal .bin simply was a binary file as opposed to a text file for file transfer reasons we needed to know that. Since you have the word zip I assume it may be a compressed file. It may be part of a set also and you need the rest of the set.

it's a virtual cd rom drive to open files like iso and bin etc
