How to install adobe flash installed in windows vista business service pack 2 got it downloaded but when i double click nothing happens Davidw
There are a number of links that deal with Adobe Flash and Vista. See the link below and read some of them. Evidently this isn't a slam dunk procedure.
Which browser? It would almost have to be outdated because most of the browser developers no longer support Vista. Old browsers very likely need old versions of Flash. Figure out which browser you're going to use as your default (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc), find out which version it is, then find out which version of Flash is compatible. However, it still may not work properly because websites are expecting a new version of Flash, not one from several years ago.
Well i unblock and got one version ppapi not napp.but it still is being a pain in the a## Davidw
As per #2, what browser are you using? Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
I'm using firefox 52 Davidw
The situation regarding Firefox on Vista is confusing, various conflicting information about what will run on it. I think riider has hit the nail on the head and that there might be no suitable version of Flash for Vista. If you can find one it definitely has to be NPAPI not PPAPI. Have you tried this website (from Firefox)?
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-playe...
It checks the version and can provide downloads.Try your luck but you might have to put up with various compatibility issues with Vista.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
