How to fix Appleversions.dll corrupted

After a routine iTunes 10 upgrade a month ago,I am now unable to access quick time and any iTunes files and music my formerly large iTunes library. Have tried to uninstall and download each separately, but to no no avail, have tried to restore vista to a point before the download and this didn't work, have tried to remove each of these programs and download each again separately, have tried to then install an older version of iTunes this wouldn't work either. I have tried to get tech support from Apple and they were unable to help, I wonder what the fix is, any ideas or can someone point in me in the right direction. A You tube video for the fix was showing that you have to change all these file names in the directory and I was unwilling at that point to do so. Why would such a corruption occur when previously iTunes downloads were successful.

also do any of the registry fixer programs help this issue?

LOL...that's why I refuse to use Apple products....YIKES! Expensive and no tech support to speak of. And QT- I REFUSE to have that on my PC's.

Here's what I would suggest:
Download revo uninstaller and then uninstall both of those and also clear out all of the registry items found.
Then you can try re-installing both of them.

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers
