How to fix AOL automatic sign off when idle. It is difficult to work and I need to disable. Every time it shuts off many emails come in and I cannot erase fluently. Can you help me disable automatic shut off system. I recently upgraded and before I never had this problem. I could start and finish using AOL on my own timing. Where do I find the software to shut off. I tried settings but I could not find where to click to eliminate automatic shut off. Your help will be appreciated.

I don't think it's an AOL issue as I can't find anywhere that AOL has an automatic sign-out feature, it only has automatic sign-in according to my research.

I could be wrong of course, so either contact AOL support or change to another ISP.
Very few people use AOL these days now there is much more choice.

I used to have that problem with them. For awhile I used the '42 always connected plug' mentioned here:

It didn't always work but seemed to lessen the sign offs. I'm not sure the links in that old thread are still good but there's quite a few hits if you google "42 always connected".

Other suggestions there may help too.
