Solved How to factory rest laptop

Specs: Android
I bought a toshiba satellite laptop from a yard sale. Guy said he got it out a storage unit and didn't have a power cord. I got one but there is a login and password i dont know. I have tried holding 0, f2 f12 and many others. Can anyone help

what is the model number, maybe on the bottom, like L305
f2 get you into the bios setup, f12 the start menu, neither is the reset

If it's the Windows password, it can be reset. If it's the BIOS or HDD password, you're out of luck.

On your laptop and press F8 repeatedly. A menu will appear, select Safe Mode from it. Type "Administrator" in Username and leave the password blank. It will bring you to the windows. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > change password.
