How To Customize The Organize Pulldown Menu In Vista

July 11, 2020 at 08:13:31
Specs: Windows 7, 2.2/ 4gb
I would be grateful if anyone can help me out here. I've drawn a blank on the forum and on the net. I would like to add the command "Move To Folder" to the Organize pulldown menu. The only ref I found was "https://www.askvg.com/how-to-customize-organize-and-layout-menus-in-command-bar-in-windows-vista-and-7-explorer/" which also covers the Organize menu for Windows 7 but that does not work for Vista. Similar registry references do not exist in Vista. I know the Organize menu has a "Cut" function but I would like a "Move To Folder" command which immediately screens up a choice of folder something which "Cut" does not do. If anyone knows how to do this I would be gratedful for their help.

PS I still use a Vista laptop because I use other programs on it although I don't go online with it!

By putting quotes around the web address, you made it non-clickable.
Here you go: https://www.askvg.com/how-to-custom...

"Similar registry references do not exist in Vista"

Did you try adding them manually?

Hi riider, thank you for your response. I did try to find out where on the site it set out the conventions used in posting but could not find anything - I was particularly looking to find out how coding should be posted.

I did consider manually editing the registry but was reluctant to do so in case I fouled up or could not reverse what I had entered despite back up.
