I bought a toshiba usb 2.0 flash drive, and cannot remove it from the case to insert it into the computer. How do I get the cover off.
Hopefully you can find one with operating instructions.
If you can't remove a cover, that probably means it doesn't have one.
Try swiveling the connecting piece out, or it may slide out.message edited by Johnw
Or do you mean it's locked in an anti-theft casing and you can't get that off? That should have been removed at the store where you bought it. . . if you bought it.
I paid for it. Guess that means I bought it. message edited by liketoknow
I have tried everything to get it to slide out. Never seen anything like this one.
So the problem is not with any packaging the flash drive came in but with the drive itself? What's its model number? Maybe if we saw what it looked like we could make a suggestion.

Did you try swivel, like a flick knife?
Thank you to everyone for your comments. I tried twisting, pulling, prying. The thing finally popped in half inside the case and still refused to open. It is now in the garbage and I will go back to the electronic store to purchase a different brand of flash drive. I have a Cruzer Glide usb flash drive, and a super talent that I have no problem with. Thanks again for your help.
