how do i get rid of a corrupted file....

Specs: Windows vista, 3 gb ram
I have a big problem i have a file inside a folder, this file lets me enter the folder but then a error comes up saying windows host process (rundll32) has stopped working.
i've tried to delete it but as soon a i click on it the error comes, dam.
the most weirdest thing is the error comes up when i click on the folder

i don't want to format the drive cause it has other files i need

You should boot into Safe Mode and try to rename the file.

You can run SFC /SCANNOW at a command prompt with Admin Rights while you are in Safe Mode.
