How do I delete these files

December 28, 2010 at 13:31:57
Specs: Windows Vista
I use webroot window washer. Recently two files have shown up in the wash. They take over an hour to clean and don't appear in a normal search, even when show hidden files is selected. Do you think they could be virus files? Any advice?

C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-1647827978-1369092916-227027102-1000\$R125EF8.dv

and

C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-1647827978-1369092916-227027102-1000\$REHP5GZ.ISO

... are you using some sort of virtual drive?

... virtual ram drive perhaps?

... or Norton protection of recycle bin?

Thanks for the reply mavis007. I have no ram drives connected to my laptop. These files appear to be in the recycle bin, as when I paste these file addresses found by window washer into the address bar, the files properties window appears giving me an option to restore the file, but the folder is still empty. Interesting note the recycle bin is empty, but when you explore the recycle bin and right click and select properties it says Size on disk: 5.97 GB (6,416,822,272 bytes) Contains: 3 Files, 101 folders.

Have you tried the obvious?
Go into recycle bin and try and just delete them from there rather than emptying the recycle bin.
