Specs: Windows XP
I have a New Cisco 2425 Model Router which also has a connection for a cable which could be a cable for TV Internet, I do not have any Documantion with this Router, but I have downloaded the user manual, well it has all the parts numbered and a short explanation. Im stuck because I will have to go off line to connect this Router unless I have all the details at hand and connect on the fly? as for typing your ip address into the search bar, whowever I just get a pagefull of exact numbers, there was a time when I would imput this data and a Screen from my ISP would appear, where you could change and edit passwords I dont get that screen anymore. I have Screen Shots on my other Laptop saved for a rainy day ;0) I assume it will be necessary to setup the Cisco any advice will be much appriaciated, also details of the CABLE Wire at the back of the router but it does not explain how to use it or what its for, thank you all for your support........................................................................................

So are you trying to connect this router to the Internet? And if so what sort of connection do you have (ADSL/Cable/Fibre)?

As for typing the IP address into the search bar, you should be tying it into the address bar, and then there should be a screen in which you enter your details into the router configuration.
