How can I get out from phoenix setup PASSWORD?

March 3, 2019 at 12:26:39
Specs: Windows Vista, Intel 2 Core Duo 4Gb RAM
i WAS GIVEN AN Old Dell Studio 1735 wIN vista only 4Gb RAM so it did not meet Win7, 8, 10 8Gb Ram requirements. The 320Gb HD was Formatted completely, but Phoenix Security Core still asks to enter password appears; even if i hold f2, f12 or f8 I want to load Linux Ubuntu 9.04 OS. How can I get past the Phoenix? I believe this is a BIOS Locked issue so replacing Hard Drive will not help

4GB RAM will work with any of those Windows versions, but hardware-wise, Win7 would be best. If you can handle Linux, it might be a better alternative.

With a desktop, you can remove the CMOS battery & clear the password, but laptops are much more secure so it isn't that simple. I've had this page bookmarked for a long time, it may be helpful: http://dogber1.blogspot.com/2009/05...

Thank You All for the great advice, The windows license sticker on the Dell Studio 1735 laptop is for Vista only and I really don't want to pay for a Wiin 7 license,. With PC Linux Ubuntu 9,04 all software is free, including Linux Libra that is compatible with MS Office. Corporations around the world are rolling over to PC Linux Libra and saving huge amounts of money on paying Bill Gates for every copy of MS Office they use. The free software for Photo and Video editing is superior to MS products..I never used Linux until after the third time my job was outsourced overseas two years ago. After a short learning curve I had found Linux Ubuntu to be much more stable and offer more programs all for free. WireShark orks great on Linux and I use it all the time to troubleshoot network and other protocol issues.I have several old Dell 755 desktop machines that do have Win 7 License stickers so I can re-image them when needed.the graphics on Win 7 interfaces best with older versions of Telecom nodes. companies just cant afford to upgrade every piece of expensive equipment every that Bill Gates stops supporting an operating system, Ending support for Win XP caused a GUI problems that would no longer work with DB 9 pin infrastructure equipment, PC Linux is easy and basically does the same thing as Windows, only the program names are different, Example:Win Explorer may be called Dolphin on Linux. Like the difference between Android and Windows cellphones, With Linux I can get any old computer even.with only 2Gb RAM and still Surf the Internet without issues. Computers that companies trow away and format the HD because they have XP or Vista License Stickers can easily be converted to Linux with Firefox for those in need. with ability to have Libra (Excel, Word, Power Point an all needed for free, Bill Gates tolerates PC Linux because he could be sued for having a Monopoly, Only better OS for free is Portus Kisok no anti virus needed the machine boots up with Google and can not be changed. A power Cycle fixes any issues also restricted from Adult material so it is family friendly,

Ohh I have also removed the CMOS Battery over night,
