Hard drive drivers

October 8, 2010 at 07:09:02
Specs: Windows Vista
I'm trying to install Vista on a laptop but when I do, the setup screen keeps telling me it cannot detect the hard drive - I need to install the hard disk driver. I cannot find the drivers anywhere.

Hard drive specs: Toshiba, HDD2D62, 120 GB

Is this hard drive broke?

Hard Drive never need drivers, during install you need tooffer additional drivers for the Disk Controllers Chipset, obviously the hard drive must be recognised in BIOS !

I thought all I needed was the disk controller chipset drivers? The hard drive specs should be all you need, right? Or what other information should I include?
I appreciate all the help!! Thanks.

It is a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527.

I tried looking on Toshiba's website for any disk controller chipset drivers, but could not find any...
