"Inserted temporary Windows Vista to use computer."

Why did you install a temporary copy if you've got a set of recovery discs?
The recovery discs should install fine on a different hard drive as long as it has a partition that's at least as large as the one on the original drive.

Well I had a "supposedly technician" come and help me and that is what he did but I don't think that is the correct way and have been having some problems now so thought that perhaps using the recovery discs might solve the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. There were 16 recovery discs.
