font not large enough

March 12, 2009 at 17:49:59
Specs: Windows Vista
Two related problems, in order to make the font large enough for me to read I increased it to 150. Now the pointer is acting strange, and the email is still too small even with the View on largest. I can see the web pages, they're fine. Any ideas?

Enlarge the font size in Outlook Express to a suitable size.
Open Windows Mail, click the tools menu, click options then click the compose tab, click on Font Settings and select font size.

Thanks, I had tried that earlier but it didn't help. If I get one font large enough the other one isn't or it's too large. I have changed the whole thing a dozen times and one of the problems still comes up. I'll have to admit defeat.

hi

just had a similar issue since i updated my monitor driver , web page font is now too small to read comfortably and cant be bothered with firefoxes effort

looking around i found this works in firefox quite well,
zoom, note you have to sign up for some reason to get the addon
not a problem really, zoom adds + - zoom icon like in adobe reader.

Thanks for the help. I'll look it over. I can't believe I can't set this up the same way I had it last week before the "help line" (I use the term loosely) had me do a system restore.

If it's the web page that gets too big or small, have you tried the Zoom shortcut, Ctrl+ or Ctrl- to enlarge or shrink? up to 400%.

I did that Ctrl+ or Ctrl - you suggested and it does work. The funny thing is that some pages are fine and other's aren't. I have also been able to Ctrl + roll the mouse wheel to make it larger. I think I've decided to let it be and do the best I can with it. The drunken acting cursor was just too much to deal with. At least now I can control that with the font at 149. Thanks for your help.
