Firefox Running Very Slow

Specs: Windows Vista
Last week, I had a nasty malware virus that caused the blue screen of death to my computer, and I had to have my computer restarted completely. Things have been going fine, but the last two days, I've noticed that Firefox will get very slow after having it open for a few minutes. If I go to Google, I can click in the search bar to type and start typing, but the letters will not show up until a few seconds later. Also, any Flash related site (Facebook, Netlix, etc) has gotten slow, but my version is up to date because I just re-installed it.

I am running PC Tools Firewall Plus on my computer, and I have PC Tools AntiVirus Free, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and CCleaner (all installed by the tech who re-started my system). I run the checks daily to ensure I do not have another virus, so I don't think that is my problem. Is anyone else having problems with Firefox?

all i can suggest is maybe seeing if its your firefox profile.
you can try using the firefox safe mode:
FireFox Safe Mode

and if that works normally you could either try creating a new profile and see if that solves the problem or attempt to find what is causing the problem by disabling add-ons etc.

I seemed to have fixed the problem. There was some kind of add on the tech installed that was supposed to flag harmful sites. It was causing a serious lagging problem. I installed it and installe a similar add on and Firefox has been running perfect ever since! I wish I could remember the name of the first add on for others who might be having this problem.
