Hey guys, I have a question. Early this morning I was running some CAT5 cables under the house, I come in and see that my computer is turned off and my 2 year old son was standing next to it. So I'm assuming my son held down the power button and hard crashed it. Well I turn on my laptop and plug in my LAN cable and now every 2-3 seconds when I'm moving the mouse or by using my touch pad it pauses for a split second before it continues on. If I was just given the scenario, I would say virus but I haven't been to any websites just playing some WoW and my computer was shut off by my son so Im not sure if its hardware problems. Can anyone help, I ran AVG and Spybot they both say Im clean.... please any help before I call Dell Tech support would be much appreciated.
Start with a system restore point to a time when it worked. See also event logs and might have to use resource monitor to see what is taking cpu or other resources.
