Drive D errors

drive D is full and keep telling me to delete files or programs

do you have 2 HD's or are you talking about 'D' partition?

sorry i have no idea, but i wanted to re install vista, and erase everything on my computer.....it gave me 2 options. 1 was a smaller like 8.5 gb I chose that one..and ran out of room...so i started over again and chose the 2nd one(they both said primary) which was 140 gb but its telling me Drive D error..to clean files etc...all thats on there is the recycle bin...344 mb free of 8.37 gb

so you are using a vista re-install disc? Just get it to format the drive and then install your OS on it. If you want to make partitions, you can also do that at that time.

All the operating files downloaded to D instead of C, and it used up just about all the memory on D. , which is 8.5 gb...and C has a 140 gb. Is there a way to transfer the files from D to C without reinstalling?
