Downgrading from Vista to XP

Sony / Pcg-7183m
June 29, 2010 at 01:38:00
Specs: Windows Vista
I have a Sony Vaio laptop PCG-7183M, I'm
trying to downgrade it from Vista to XP
however I get a blue screen when I run the
disk. I have read that I should slip stream
SATA drivers in to the XP installation, however
I can't find the correct drivers for my HDD
(Make:Hitachi - Model:HTS543232L9SA00)

Please advise!

Thanks in advanced

... correct me if I am wrong my search shows PCG-7183M is also VGN-NW26M (?)

... found this (XP downgrade installer v4.0 for VAIO notebooks)
(SATA Driver Intel (Non-RAID) for VAIO without bundled XP Recovery Disc)

... hope this helps!

I have just managed to get it to boot however I know have an
error on the windows installation. The iaSator.sys isn't
compatible with the x64-based version of Windows my computer
is running.

Please advise.

Still no luck, I think it because I have a x64-bit disk. I'm going to
get another Windows XP Pro disk with x32-bit.

Thanks
