I've got an HP Pavillion s3707c slimline desktop, and i'm using the factory recovery discs to reinstall Vista before I upgrade to windows 7. My problem is the cyberlink powerdirector stalls at about 53% while downloading and this is sitting behind the blue screen that says Do Not turn off your PC during this one time setup process, etc. How do I fix this? I've tried reinstalling the recovery discs again and this problem keeps happening, ugh!
Can anyone give me a solution? What else do I need to do?
Have you tried cleaning the disc? How long have you waited at the 53% mark before calling it quits?
I've waited over 12 hours and the discs were brand new.
Did you ever install a new hard drive at any point in owning the laptop?
