DirectX 10

Home build / Premium

I am running Vista Home Premium, I am not a gamer but I do use some fairly graphic based video making programmes. Do I need DirectX 10 and if so where do I get it. Google seems to have plenty of forums on the subject and sites for "update drivers/codecs" but I can't find a definitive download site.

Hello.

The DX10 drivers are built into Vista. You already have them.

What you may need could be a DX10-compatible graphics/display adapter. You may have to upgrade your hardware.

Thank you Suatcini. Seems like my garphics adapter does indeed need updating.
