Hit F8 repeatedly at startup. Select Repair Computer, and then DELL Factory Recovery.

Go into the Bios & probably under Security, make sure no passwords are enabled.

I did that and it shows all passwords are "clear" so I then reboot and take me right back to the same screen.

"I made the cdrom 1st boot"
Did you try HDD as first boot? & then F8.

Just googled your specs, if you haven't added any extras to your comp , it comes with one hard drive.
http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/de...

Is it still the original?

If not, tell me if it is IDE, Sata or SSD.

Just realized that is the Bios, you are talking about.

Take the CD out, make sure it is still on boot from HDD first & then F8 it as it is rebooting.

Select Repair Computer, now put the CD in and then DELL Factory Recovery.

It will be there, maybe it's called Hard Drive or just the model number, on your comp.

I just googled for your manual. You will probably have the manual on your motherboard CD.

It is called Hard Disk on your version of the Bios.

Wondered if you had access to another comp. Are you able to improve on that photo?

Another photo request, or list the details.

1 Enter the system setup ( Bios )
2 Press the left- and right-arrow keys to Advanced tab.
3 Press the up- and down-arrow keys to highlight the Integrated Peripherals, then press <Enter>.
4 Press the up- and down-arrow keys to highlight the Serial-ATA Configuration, then press <Enter>. Give me a photo when you get to this point, or list the details please.
