Dell / Mxg071

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, 2.401 GHz / 2045 MB
CHKDSK shows these, and the amount of entries various with each scan:
============================================
C:\Documents and Settings\main>chkdsk
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Volume label is OS.

WARNING! F parameter not specified.
Running CHKDSK in read-only mode.

CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)...
File verification completed.
CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)...
Deleting index entry 00010015.ci in index $I30 of file 19179.
Deleting index entry 00010015.dir in index $I30 of file 19179.
Deleting index entry 00010015.wid in index $I30 of file 19179.
Deleting index entry Events.xml in index $I30 of file 420150.
Deleting index entry lastseen.ini in index $I30 of file 420150.
Index verification completed.
Errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.
============================================

However, no matter how many times I reboot it with /F/R switches, the errors keep coming up. Also, using the utility HD Tune Pro, shows no errors on the disk, physical or digital.

I reply as fast as I can, but it could be hours or months. Always busy.

If the reboot version of chkdsk doesn't see an issue, don't worry about it. Chances are something created and deleted those files whle chkdsk was running. These concurrency issues are why chkdsk needs to run during a boot, and why it won't change anything without exclusive access to the drive.
