I used my camcorder and record a 30 minutes video.when i uploaded the movie to my laptab its showing the size as 4GB.how can i minimze the size? and the file format is stored as .avi can i burn it to CD or DVD with this format.someone advice
The reason why you cannot upload the 4GB to the laptop is that the file system in the laptop is FAT32. Under FAT32, the maximum size file you can save or render is about 3.9GB. Any file larger than that will produce error message. If you had NTFS file system instead, you would not be having this problem.
"can i burn it to CD or DVD" To DVD yes CD NO. While you can burn the file to DVD you would not be able to play it on all home DVD players, a player capable of playing DiviX is required. To play on all home players it would need to be converted to standard DVD compliant format. DVD Flick is a free program that can do this for you.
