The first thing to do is access the BIOS and turn off the boot setting that mentions 'splash screen' - this will let you see at which point the system actually stops responding. Whilst you are in the BIOS it is also worth checking that (a) your harddrive is listed and (b) that the boot order is set to boot from the CD drive first then the HDD.

"So l tried to boot up with my window vista disk"

When your PC freezes at the same place when you want to boot from the Vista DVD, it means your PC is ignoring the DVD.

You have to make your PC boot from the DVD by going into BIOS Setup and setting the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device.

l cant enter the bio's. when l turn the computer on it just goes strait to the splash screen, then stops. no sounds from the computer. l tried to enter bio's as soon as l swich computer on, cant get into bio's. Now when l try to boot from windows os disk, it wont even go through the motions of loading the disk, but the cd drive works. I dont know what else to do. l check all cables are fully connected and secure.
