I recently used Windows Media Player to burn a CD to back up some Word and Excel docs as well as pictures. The only thing that I can now retrieve are the pictures. How do I retrieve the text documents?
What happens when you try to open them?
The Word and Excel docs don't appear to be there at all, even though when the CD was being burned, the file names were visible down the side of the Windows Media Player window. It would seem they have to be buried somewhere and I was hoping someone might know how to retrieve them.
Try IsoBuster, it can recover just about anything. I have to ask though, why on earth would you use Media Player to burn data files? www.isobuster.com
Good question - I think I learned a hard lesson. Thanks for the suggestion - I'll give it a try.
Windows Media player has an option to burn EITHER a music disk or a data disk. There is no capability that I know of to burn both at the same time.
