Probably for the same reason that we do not know what you are talking about.

What sort of 'message' is it? Where did it come from? What is the suffix of the message (notepad can only handle basic text (.txt) files) etc. etc.

To get a proper answer you need to ask a proper question....

That answer was unnecessarily mean and sarcastic. Consider my membership cancelled.

Whatever, we certainly need more info to be able to answer.
Your question said less than the title.

Can you open NotePad and type into it?

Are you copy/pasting a message into NotePad?

What sort of message is it - Word, Email, or whatever?

There really are hundreds of possibilities so we need to know exactly what you are doing.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"That answer was unnecessarily mean and sarcastic."

As you have left the forum I guess you won't read this response, but I think I was being fairly succinct and to the point. If you re-read your own 'question' it makes very little sense, and I say again, if you expect a proper answer you need to have the courtesy to ask a proper question. No-one on this forum is paid and we are helping people in our own time so having questions asked which waste mine and others' time I regard as being 'mean' as well.
