can't get to safe mode

Specs: Windows Vista
Since yesterday I get some words in german language at my black screen: something about ths: virus der bootsektor dieser Diskette wurde neu erstellt. Benutzen sie den dos-befehl sys um diese diskette bootfahig zu machen! Bitte legen se nun eine systemdskette ins laufwerk und drucken Sie eine taste.
I can't even get to safe mode to scann for viruses.
My windows vista came with my notebook Vista and I don't have the bootable cd.
What can I do?

Using Google Translator, it looks like this is the message:

"virus boot sector of this disk was created. Use the DOS command to make these sys diskette bootfahig! Please create one now systemdskette se to drive and print a button."

Revising it with possible computer terms, this is what it may look like:

"Virus boot sector of this disk was created. Use the DOS command to make the sys diskette bootable. Please create a system diskette to drive and press a button."

It may be that some critical boot file was taken over by a virus, and that it now displays that message. It doesn't sound like a Windows Error though, more like a virus. MS would not make an error like that. Truthfully right now I don't know of any quick and easy ways to repair your system.

To get started, do you have a Windows Vista Installation DVD?

I have a dell windows XP hitting f8 does nothing I get this german (I guess) language error as well I have no Boot Disk I've relied on Ctrl F11 if I've needed to reformat my stuff... and now I can't do that Help!
