First make sure you have an active internet connection. If using wireless, you should see an icon in the notification area which is two monitors with a blue globe. If you see just two monitors and no blue globe, you are not connected to the internet.

In that case, restart your laptop and that may fix the problem.
If that doesn't fix it, reset the router (unplug it from mains, then plug it in again).
Wait until all the router lights have stopped flashing before trying to use the internet.

If not using wireless, just reset your router as described above.

You have not mentioned which browser so I presume it is IE you are using. Just reset IE and try it again....that should solve your problem. If not, try an alternate browser like firefox, opera or chrome and see if that works for you

Hi Taylor,

As mentioned by "XpUser4Real", kinldy try using another browsers and check if the issue persists in other browsers or not. If the issue still persits, you can follow the below mentioned steps in order which could fix the issue:

Change the compatibility mode IE. To turn Compatibility View on, click the Compatibility View button to make the icon change from an outline to a solid color. This option will be seen on the address bar.

Turn off hardware acceleration by going to Internet options. You can even refer to the article on the URL mentioned:
