Specs: Windows Vista
I am able to surf the web fine and never get booted off, but whenever I try and connect to an online game server or log into a game account when playing. ie. logging into to my bioware account when playing Dragon Age Origins.
I do not use a router, my internet is plugged directly into my computer. I have disabled my anti virus and firewall and even tried a system restore but nothing works, I never had this problem with my old computer when I was running XP, is Vista messing with me?

Internet is plugged straight into your computer without a router?
Theres gotta be something keeping you on the internet... what
kind of connection is it?

What kind of booting is it? - computer restarts or the internet

i am plugged into my modem with an ethernet cable, i can get online and surf the web when i am playing a game, i can minimize the game and go online but it won't connect to a game server. All it says is connection to internet failed, you are not connected to the internet or something like that, even though I can minimize the game and surf the web. I'm really confused by this and haven't been able to find an answer anywhere

Check the game configuration, check how it's configured to connect to Internet, whether it's direct Internet connection or via proxy or other settings, check any wrong configuration, hope this helps.
