Cannot open file folders after system restore

Specs: Windows Vista
cannot open file folders after system restore..says location is unavailable but the 2000 plus file folders are listed there but it does not look like they contain any information...properties is showing that the files are there by the size of the folder being 3.57gb...what can i do?

Undo the restore point.

What were you trying to fix with the restore?

If the undo works you could try a different restore point.
EDIT: Or the fixes suggested at #2.

Tj1977, If a System Restore doesn't correct the problem try the "Folder" association fix at the link below. If that doesn't correct the problem try the "Directory" association fix. "Usage instructions" are on the page.
