More information required. Why can't you access them? What happens, what errors do you get when you try to access them?

What files and where did you save them?

Reboot means to power off and on the computer. Is that what you mean, or do you mean reformat or restore of some sort?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I did a system restore after a blue screen. It prompted me to back all my files up, which I did. After the system restore , I couldn't access the files.

Why does it say you have a Macintosh?

Just because the OP does not come back in 3 or 4 days to reply, does not mean he will not come back and reply.

"I backed up the files to an internally."

You aren't one to give out details are you? What is an internally? Are you talking about the hard drive, and if so hopefully it was a separate hard drive. If you saved them to that same drive that you restored, you just overwrote them and the chances of getting them back are extremely slim.
