Specs: Windows Vista, 2.4ghz/2gb
hey guys, i have a problem with my computer, please take the time to read and comment on my problem. i have read many problems "similar" to mine but i am not sure if they are the same as mine or not because mine is such a bizzare case with so many clashing problems.

my computer freezes asoon as i turn it on, at the page that tells you the motherboard manufacturer and the series, the mouse and keyboard have no power at this point, they usually do when the computer was working normally.
i have to repeatedly turn the computer on and off untill i get past this stage and it gets past it to load windows and such, sometimes i clash to a blue screen with no message on it at all, sometimes it freezes at logon or soon after i log on, and after approx 1 hr of turning the computer on and off, and it automatically restarting after the crash, the computer will reach the stage where i log on and use it, usually il get a BBSOD crash after about 1-7 minutes of using the computer.

i recorded some of the errors
-page_fault_in_none_page_area (happaned once)
-IRQL_less_than_or_equal (often)
-Bad_page_header(once)
-bad_memory_management(once)
-IRQL_not_less_or_equal(often)
-Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal

after repetedly crashing, freezing and hanging, the computer will work properly, if this happans the computer will not have problems if restarted or turned off, it seems to only occur after the computer is off for a long time.

sometimes i get graphic problems when viewing images or gaming, the image will be broken into long rectangular strips and be shuffled it is usually resolved after i move the mouse. opening images takes longer then usual and programs dont respond for alittle while.
sometimes the crashes occur when im using the computer under heavy conditions, e,g gaming or something similar that uses allot of memory, other times the crash wont occur during the same games ect.

i have had the computer for 2years now and never opened the case. it is custom built, havnt had problems this sever, usually fixed with updating a driver, this time howerever my computer has gone nuts and just this morning when i turned the computer on i got a error message saying

Windows/system32/winload.exe missing or currupt.

i was just wondering what in gods name could do so much dmg to my computer, its been packed away for 1month while i move and i havnt added any new hardware or software for ages and it was working fine before i packed it up and 1 week after i unpacked it, and all of a sudden this problems arrised after 1 week of setting it up after i took it out of storage, i dont have internet and havnt had it for 2 month because i was in the process of moving so theres not been any virus, or new program i downloaded, no new drivers or windows updates.

also i was wondering could a out of date driver cause my files to be currupt and cause the computer to freeze and crash. so much dmg from just a out of date driver that never gave me problems before, just out of the blue i got these problems. any help would be usefull.

i dont have internet so il be checking back every day when i go to uni, thanks for any help, if u need something clarrified please ask, im desperate because uni is very computer dependant for me

(1) "i have to repeatedly turn the computer on and off untill i get past this stage and it gets past it to load windows
and such"-that indicates that it's probably some type of hardware issue and not an issue with Windows drivers, though they could be a problem as well.
(2) "i have had the computer for 2years now and never opened the case." Then open it and blow out the dust-your computer might be overheating. If you're not comfortable with opening the case, then get someone to do it for you. If you know how to get into the BIOS, check temperatures there.
(3) Try to download and run a program like memtest to test the ram. You also might try cleaning off the contacts and reseating the ram.

another thing i just remembered that i thought i should add is that before when i used to turn the computer on it would freeze at the BIOS screen
("my computer freezes asoon as i turn it on, at the page that tells you the motherboard manufacturer and the series, the mouse and keyboard have no power at this point, they usually do when the computer was working normally.")

now that the new symptom of my windows being currupted
("Windows/system32/winload.exe missing or currupt.") my computer doesnt ever freeze at the bios screen, (i have restarted the comp afew times now with no problem other than the error)

could that mean it is not a hardware problem
