Solved boot error

Specs: Windows vista, 3gb
blue screen error says

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

check for viruses on computer . remove any newly installed hardware or software.check ur hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and chkdsk /f to check.

According to that site, a windows update may have caused it. Try F8 as soon as you turn on the PC. Try safe mode or last known good config. If you can get it to boot, try a restore point & disable updates.

Boot to dvd and see if repair can fix it.
