Specs: Windows Vista
I have noticed a change recently where my folders and filenames have blue text instead of the normal black text. Only some of these files are affected but I don't knw why...any ideas?

Blue file names indicates that they have been compressed (using NTFS file compression). You can check this by looking at the Advanced Properties dialog for the file.

Files and folders in blue chars mean compressed format. Right click on one of them and select Properties to see the compression box checked.

Why that happens by itself I don't know, but it has no consequences.
