To switch back to the internal display, press Fn + F5 key.

Concerning the battery, I thing it's time for a new one.

Dear paulsep,
your reply has not solved my problem.I have tried fn+f5.the screen is still black only.but when connected to an external monitor i.e samsung syncmaster B 2030 the windows will stop halfway and only color lines or a spray of colors or many unknown letters will appear.I shut the main switch and restart.Message will appear that windows need repair / start windows normally..I press normal restarting option and lo windows start normally the second or third time.My guess is there is no combatibility of the laptop and monitor .I have set both to 1600 x 900 pixels, but still the problem remains.Any solution please.
p.s o.k for changing the battery
