Specs: Windows 7
I have a user with a home computer using Vista. She has "works" as her word processor and needs Word. What is the best way for her to load Word and should she order a specific type of Word for Vista as opposed to say Microsoft 2007. She is a Novice so I want to find out the best way for her to load Word on her PC which could include just orderign a disk online as long as it is the correct solutions

Probably Office 2007 or 2010. The website below details the requirements of office 2013 and does not include Vista.

Wherever you can still find older versions of Office is where I would have them buy it from. I'm including another link that shows system requirements. Hope this helps

If you happen to have an older Office version around then try it. I have Office 2003 running perfectly on my Windows 8, despite Microsoft and many others saying it would not. I even got the compatibility pack from MS, so that would handle later compressed file types (docx etc).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
