Solved acer restore / factory reset

Specs: Windows 64
i down load`d a toolbar, i then un-installed it but its still active on my page, but is not in my un-installed programs any more ... laptop is now slow to load up & im getting pist with lol i`d like to restore my laptop back to before i down load`d it or even better to reset it back to when i bought it ..

Why would you do a factory reset when all you need to do is uninstall a toolbar? How about telling which toolbar you installed? More than likely you infected your system with malware when you installed it. Did you run a full virus scan? Did you scan for malware? Did you run CCleaner? How about AdwCleaner? Do them all.

It's called whitesmoke tool bar ... Iv un-installed it but it's still active on my Google page but not in my in install program ... I did a scan with McAfee & it said everything was ok ... But Iv download ccleaner & it's done the job ... Thank you :-D:-D:-D

Just need internet explorer to work as well now but I have Google for now ... Lol

You ought to run ADWCleaner too, as advised.
Sometimes there can be remnants lurking which could cause issues later on:

anyone know why windows internet explorer would stop working ?? i start as admin but will not load up ...

See if ADWCleaner fixes it first - it might do.

If not then go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > hit Reset button.
You will lose your addons and customizations but the addons soon return after usage.
