acer laptop touchpad not working

Specs: Windows Vista
my touch pad is not working .there a re 2 buttons under it that are working so i'm using those..is there a button on the key pad that was probably pressed my mistake..if not is there a way 2 fix it on the laptop ?

It is possible that the touch pad is malfunctioning. Most probably you have turned it off. Toggling Fn+F7 turns mine on and off. Yours may differ. Check your manual for configuration of your model.

I have figured out the problemfor acer aspire 5732Z! You know where the on/off button is well there is 2 buttons either side of the on/off button the button on the left side is to unlock/lock your touchpad. Just press it (: Hope this helps :D
